Before you apply
Keep your organization's legal name, EIN, IRS determination letter (if you have one), the event or project date and a one-paragraph description in one document. Each form then takes a few minutes.
Check the lead time on each company's page and apply in date order. Record what you sent and when in the free outreach tracker (CSV).
When a company asks for a letter, adapt the donation request template or a youth sports sponsorship letter. After a yes, send a thank-you letter.
Ask local businesses too
Independent businesses near you have no national form: the owner decides. Read how to ask local businesses for donations, or post what you need so businesses on With Help From can find you.
